Planting For Autumn Colour Course

Wednesday 16th October 11am–4pm

While most gardens have started looking tired by September, this course will show you how to have your garden coming to life again for the Autumn with fiery Autumn foliage and beautiful flowers and berries through to Christmas and beyond. This Course is £80 per person, or £70 for Season Ticket Holders, including lunch and the opportunity to walk around the gardens.

Autumn Colour Weekend

Saturday 19th October 10am–5pm & Sunday 20th October 11am–4pm

Our Autumn Colour weekend is the perfect time to celebrate everything we love about the changing seasons. With the gardens exploding with fiery red, oranges and yellows, they are beautiful to behold at this time of year. As well as this, our national collections of Autumn and Winter flowing Camellias and Hamamelis are not to be missed.

NGS Autumn Open Day

Sunday 13th October, 11am – 4pm

We open our gardens in support of the National Garden Scheme and Plant Heritage, with proceeds from entry tickets on this day going to these wonderful organisations. A spectacular time for Autumn colour, visitors will enjoy our huge collection of Acers and Nyssa, and our National Collection of Hamamelis, as well as masses of flowering Salvias as the delicious scent of Cercidiphyllum japonicum fills the air.

Green Island Gardens could be the venue for you! Our grounds create a stunning backdrop for a whole range of events including Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Funeral Wakes, Baby Showers, Children's and Adults Birthday Parties, and Anniversaries.

Each function is tailored to your requirements. We will build the package to suit your needs ranging from basic venue hire to Victorian afternoon tea party or large evening function with hog roast, music and dancing.

Weddings

Green Island Gardens currently does not hold a license for traditional wedding ceremonies, however we are able to hold alternative ceremonies and wedding receptions.
