National Garden Scheme Spring Open Day

Sunday 28th April 10am-5pm

For our spring open day we open Green Island Gardens in aid of the National Garden Scheme and Plant Heritage. The woodlands are blanketed with bluebells at this time of the year, and there are plenty more horticultural interests to discover too- including our Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Iris, Tree peonies, Magnolia and Davidia involucrata. The gardens look absolutely stunning at this time of the year, and brimming with colour. All funds from entry tickets purchased goes to NGS and Plant Heritage.

Bluebells Bazaar Craft Fair

Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May 10am – 5pm

An annual favourite, our craft fair hosts a wide variety of stalls selling homemade and local crafts. Horticultural interest at this time of the year includes our carpets of Bluebells, Azaleas, Iris, Tree peonies, Magnolias and many more!

Wednesday 29th May 11am – 1pm

A two-hour workshop dedicated practical advice for growing Acers in all kinds of conditions. After the workshop you are free to wander and enjoy the gardens and see the countless different varieties of Acer that we have here at Green island

Green Island Gardens could be the venue for you! Our grounds create a stunning backdrop for a whole range of events including Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Funeral Wakes, Baby Showers, Children's and Adults Birthday Parties, and Anniversaries.

Each function is tailored to your requirements. We will build the package to suit your needs ranging from basic venue hire to Victorian afternoon tea party or large evening function with hog roast, music and dancing.

Green Island Gardens currently does not hold a license for traditional wedding ceremonies, however we are able to hold alternative ceremonies and wedding receptions.
