Acers

Acer's are one of the many different species we have all around the gardens here at Green Island Garden, and they are of particular interest to owner Fiona Edmond. This is how we've come to stock such a wide variety of them in our nursery.  Acer's, otherwise known as Japanese Maples, are mainly deciduous trees or shrubs, known for their distinctive foliage. Each specimen has its own unique leaves, that produce ornamental interest as well as vibrant autumn colour, which the species is known for. There is now such a wide variety of acer's to fit any garden, from large acer's that make beautiful specimen trees in medium or large gardens, as well as dwarf variations that can be grown in containers in smaller gardens. Its all about finding the right acer for you! Below there is a list of all the acer's we stock, as well as brief descriptions to help decide which might be best for you. If you need more help, come visit our nursery at Green Island Gardens and we'll be happy to help.  To order any of our acer's please email us at info@greenislandgardens.com and we'll let you know availability and pricing!
